once again i am very much guilty of choosing to watch a film because cillian murphy starred in it . LOL im not gonna lie this might be one of my favourite films (that i've watched this year) like it is SUCH a comfort film i like it an unreasonable amount and it's also probably one of my favourite roles from cillian
the thing that stood out to me the most was the fantastic acting both by cillian and lexie liu! they played their parts so convincingly and they just had so much chemistry in the film! im a big cillian fan (as previously established) and this one just blew me away i think we should put him in more romcoms he is so versatile and acts so well in all kinds of parts #Love amazing casting which saved the show honestly
this is honestly such a comfort film like it is so easy to watch and some of the scenes are just immaculate. my favourites would have to be the cop prank scene and the park scene they made me laugh so hard which is quite rare for me to do when im watching a movie. i love the concept okay i will admit im not big on romcoms so my knowledge of and experience with the genre is quite limited but even though it's a little corny i think we all have to learn to embrace the corniness because this is a romcom anyways ... i guess it's still kind of cliche but who cares!!! also neil is just like me fr when my woman tell me to shut up and i just do :thumbsup: i know it's because this movie was literally made in 2007 but the nostalgia was amazing i felt like i was transported back in time with the styling and sets and dialogue wow!!! so y2k
not going to lie i kind of lost focus towards the end where the plot just started going back and forth and i was just kind of confused as to where it was going so the ending for me was just not it. it kind of felt like they were going in circles with the story and it's hard to pinpoint any sort of plot development towards the end... there were good scenes but unfortunately altogether they just did not have that cohesion that was there for the first half of the film. but nonetheless it's a movie i adore and definitely recommend especially to all you cillian fanatics xx - j
